White House COVID-19 Response Team and Public Health Officials of the United States of America convene a Virtual White House Press Briefing in Washington, DC, U.S.A. on Friday, July 16th, 2021.
At 11:00 AM ET, White House COVID-19 Response Team and Federal Public Health Officials will provide updates on the COVID-19 response effort of the United States of America.
Participants will include:
* Dr. Anthony Fauci, Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and Chief Medical Advisor to the President
* Dr. Vivek Murthy, Surgeon General of the United States
* Dr. Rochelle Walensky, Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
* Jeff Zients, White House COVID-19 Response Coordinator
PRESIDENT JOSEPH ROBINETTE BIDEN, JR. ~ FRIDAY, JULY 16, 2021
In the morning at 7:30 AM, President Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. will participate in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Leaders’ Virtual Retreat, where Leaders will discuss ending the COVID-19 pandemic and supporting the global economic recovery, hosted by The Right Honorable Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand. The White House stated President Biden’s participation will demonstrate U.S. leadership in the Indo-Pacific region and the President’s commitment to multilateral institutions. This meeting will take place at the White House South Court Auditorium.
Then at 10:00 AM, President Biden and Vice President Kamala Devi Harris will receive the President’s Daily Brief in the White House Oval Office.
In the afternoon at 12:20 PM, President Biden will have lunch with Vice President Harris at the White House Private Dining Room.
After at 1:00 PM, President Biden will receive a briefing from members of the White House COVID-19 Response Team on the COVID-19 pandemic and the shot program in the White House Oval Office.
Then at 2:30 PM, President Biden will travel to Camp David, where he will remain over the weekend. President Biden will depart from the White House South Lawn.
Later at 3:45 PM, President Biden will receive the Weekly Economic Briefing at Camp David.
VICE PRESIDENT KAMALA DEVI HARRIS ~ FRIDAY, JULY 16, 2021
At 10:00 AM EDT, Vice President Kamala Devi Harris will receive the President’s Daily Brief at the White House Oval Office.
At 12:20 PM EDT, Vice President Harris will have lunch with the President at the White House Private Dining Room.
At 1:00 PM EDT, Vice President Harris will meet with members of the Black Women’s Roundtable, NCNW and other women leaders on voting rights at the White House Roosevelt Room.
At 4:20 PM EDT, Vice President Harris will present remarks at a virtual finance event for the Democratic National Committee.
