In the morning at 9:00 AM EDT, President Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. will speak with His Excellency Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) at 9:00 AM EDT. This conversation is part of ongoing efforts to maintain open lines of communication between the United States and the PRC. The two Leaders will discuss managing the competition between the two countries as well as Russia’s war against Ukraine and other issues of mutual concern. This call is being convened at the White House Situation Room in Washington, DC, USA on Friday, March 18, 2022.
After the discussion, President Biden will receive the President’s Daily Brief at 11:00 AM.
Later, President Biden will meet with researchers and patients to discuss ARPA-H, a new cutting-edge health research agency that will accelerate progress on curing cancer and other diseases, medical innovation, and addressing disparities in health outcomes. This meeting is convened in the White House South Court Auditorium at 1:30 PM EDT.
In the evening, President Biden will travel to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, where he will remain over the weekend. President Biden departs from the White House South Lawn en route to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware at 5:10 PM. Then, President Biden will arrive in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware at 6:10 PM EDT.
