A federal court has not paused an order requiring the Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust to produce tax returns, financial statements and ownership records covering roughly 400 entities.
The order mandates the production of tax returns, financial statements, and ownership records for approximately 400 entities associated with the trust.
The Donald J. Trump Revocable Trust is currently obligated to comply with the federal court order until further notice.
The BBC seeks the records because Trump alleges its 2024 documentary damaged his “brand, properties and businesses,” putting his claims of financial harm at issue.
In contrast, Trump is seeking to recast the $10 billion lawsuit around personal reputational harm, which could narrow discovery.
His legal team argues that the request for financial information is overly broad and burdensome.
